“Eye of the Tiger” watch is a bold and resilient timepiece, inspired by the fierce gaze of a tiger and crafted for those who embrace adventure. Combining rugged durability with sleek elegance, it displays confidence and serves as a reminder to stay fearless and focused.
A Timepiece with Purpose
Monarch is more than a timepiece; it is a tribute to the enduring legacy of Indian history, designed to evoke the nobility of its wearer. Our inspiration flows directly from the Ashoka Chakra and the profound transformation of Emperor Ashoka.
Ashoka’s post-Kalinga philosophy—turning from chaos to ethical governance—resonates deeply in today’s geopolitical climate. We sought to capture this balance of power and peace. Just as Majestic Craftsmen is dedicated to treating every customer like royalty, the Monarch serves as a daily reminder of these regal ethics.

Dial
We approached the “Chakra” concept with nuance. Rather than a literal translation, which often lacks sophistication, we adopted a Sector Dial layout—a classic design choice known for its legibility and balance.
- The Texture: We deliberately avoid using the “busy” lines typical of some sector dials in favor of a cleaner, more commanding aesthetic. The dial features a diamond-cut pattern on the inner ring and outer ring was kept plain providing a play of light that contrasts beautifully for number track.
- The Hidden Chakra (Lume): The Ashoka Chakra is subtly integrated into the night-time identity of the watch. We designed a unique luminous pattern using rectangular markers between the inner ring and outer ring. In the dark, these glow to reveal the “spokes” of the Chakra, a hidden detail known only to the wearer.
Case
The case is crafted from medical-grade 316L Stainless Steel, featuring polished angular cuts that catch the light. A careful blend of brushed and polished surfaces adds depth, while curved lugs ensure the watch sits comfortably on wrists of all sizes.
- Crystal: A 100m water-resistant watch demands the best protection. We utilize a Sapphire Crystal for superior scratch resistance and clarity.
- Caseback: We developed a new screw-down exhibition caseback designed to guarantee 100m Water Resistance while preventing scratches during opening/closing.
Movement
We deliberately chose the Miyota 8205 Automatic Movement for two critical reasons:
- The “Gilt” Aesthetic: Unlike standard movements, the Gilt (gold-tone) version of the 8205 perfectly aligns with our “Emperor” theme, visible through the exhibition caseback.
- Reliability & Modification: Consultations with Swiss-trained horologists confirmed that the 8205 is the ideal platform for our custom “Weekdater” calendar modification. We perform rigorous QC to ensure the transition of the day and date is flawless.
- Custom Rotor: The movement is finished with a custom-engraved rotor bearing the Majestic Craftsmen logo.
Return of the legendary Weekdater
Modified Standard day-date windows often disrupt the symmetry of a dial. Seeking a cleaner, more balanced finish, we looked to the golden era of horology for inspiration—specifically the iconic SEIKO Weekdater layout.
- Day at 6: The day of the week is displayed in full text at the 6 o’clock position, anchoring the dial with symmetry.
- Date at 3: The date remains at the traditional 3 o’clock position.
- Customization: We modified the calendar wheels to perfectly match the dial colors, ensuring a seamless visual experience.
Hands
- The Hands: The hands are diamond-cut and sharp, like a sword, to match the “emperor” theme, ensuring precise legibility and a striking finish.
